About Me

I am a licensed psychotherapist in California. I received my Masters in Social Work from the University of Michigan, and did my post-graduate training at the San Francisco Department of Public Health and as an intern in private practice. In my journey as a therapist, I have worked with clients from many different walks of life.

My identity as an Indian-American woman often informs my practice - I am all too familiar with “living in the hyphen” - I’ve always felt a little “too Indian” to be American and a little “too American” to be Indian. A focus of my work is to hold nuance with my clients, regardless of identity.

In my free time, you’ll usually find me taking my dog for a long walk in the city, attempting a new recipe in my kitchen, or lost in my latest read (or reality tv…I’m human!)

How I Work

I believe that we all have different experiences and needs, and that therapy isn’t “one size fits all.” My goal is to create a therapy space that feels unique to you through exploration, respect, curiosity, and laughter. I'm an intersectional therapist who believes in culturally affirming care, which allows me to both focus on your internal feelings and experience, as well as how the world around you has shaped and influenced your experience and identity. I have training and experience with different therapy modalities, including acceptance and commitment therapy, compassion-focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and mindfulness-based therapy.

Work With Me

I am licensed to see clients that reside in California.

My current rate is $220 for a 50-minute session. I currently am an out-of-network provider for insurances. If needed, I can offer the necessary paperwork to request reimbursement from your insurance company. I occasionally have sliding-scale spots open.

Let’s chat about this and more during our initial consultation!
